When is Big Flat Jamboree held?
Big Flat Jamboree is held annually on the Trinity River. Visit our event details and updates pages for the latest dates, schedule information, and announcements.
Who does the fundraiser support?
Big Flat Jamboree supports the Will Hoxie Memorial Fund and helps carry forward a mission centered on community, outdoor recreation, and honoring Will Hoxie’s legacy.
How do I become a sponsor?
Sponsors can support the mission by completing our sponsorship form and connecting with the event team. Sponsorships help make the event possible while supporting the broader fundraising effort.
Is this a public event?
Yes! Everyone is invited! If you are going to race, we recommend being comfortable on class III water. If you want to watch the race on Saturday, we will have free shuttles to the finish line and back to Bigfoot Rafting. There is a roughly a quarter-mile walk down to the river. There will also be music and raffles all day at Bigfoot Rafting.
Are Pets Welcome?
Unfortunatly, only service animals are allowed at this event.
Is it family friendly?
Yes! The event is designed to bring the community together and welcomes supporters, river enthusiasts, families, and friends. Specific event activities may vary, so be sure to check event details and updates before attending.
Do I need whitewater experience to attend?
No. You do not need whitewater experience to be part of any event. Some activities are for participants with river experience, while others are open to supporters who simply want to attend, connect, and enjoy the event.

What class whitewater is it?
The main run and a portion of the race course is class III, but there is class II below and above this section.
